The ultraviolet (UV) treatment process is a quick physical process that mutates and/or degrades the DNA of microorganisms, rendering them unable to function and reproduce, thus effectively sterilizing the water.

The HQUA UV Water Purifier is a water treatment device that is easy to assemble. Its main components include the UV reactor chamber, made of durable 304 stainless steel, the UV lamp and quartz sleeve that provide high UV light transmittance, and an electronic ballast that connects the lamp to the power source and acts as a controller.

The HQUA water sterilizer ensures a 99.99% reduction in bacteria and microbes, with a UV exposure of 30 mJ/cm². For stronger bacterial and microbial problems, a slower flow rate, higher wattage device, or two sterilizers may be required.

The system is easy to install and maintain, as it does not require any chemical supplements. The UV lamp needs to be replaced annually (or biennially for seasonal use), and the quartz sleeve should be cleaned every 6-12 months, with a replacement every 2 years.

HQUA offers several models of UV water purification systems, including the HQUA-OWS-12 (12 GPM, 40W), HQUA-OWS-6 (6 GPM, 25W), HQUA-TWS-12 (12 GPM, 55W), HQUA-OWS-12T (12 GPM, 40W), and HQUA-OWS-124 (12 GPM, 40W).
